Clark Wood are currently recruiting for a Personal Tax Senior to join a growing firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors based in Basingstoke.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Personal Tax Senior, Personal Tax Semi Senior or experienced Tax Assistant looking to progress their career within a successful and expanding tax team.
Working closely with the Personal Tax Manager, you will manage a varied portfolio of private client tax work, focusing on personal tax compliance while also gaining exposure to advisory assignments. The role offers excellent client contact, career development and the opportunity to build your technical tax knowledge.

As a Personal Tax Senior, your responsibilities will include:

- Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients including individuals, directors, landlords and sole traders.
- Preparing and reviewing Self Assessment tax returns and associated tax computations.
- Ensuring clients meet all compliance deadlines and statutory requirements.
- Responding to client queries and providing support on personal tax matters.
- Liaising with HMRC where required.
- Assisting with tax planning and advisory work.
- Working closely with the wider tax team to deliver a high-quality client service.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

- Previous experience working within a Personal Tax department in a UK accountancy practice.
- ATT qualification, CTA qualification or qualified by experience.
- Strong knowledge of Self Assessment and personal tax compliance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients.
- A proactive approach with the desire to develop within a growing tax team.
