Clark Wood is delighted to be working with a highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants in Alton who are looking to recruit an experienced Mixed Tax Assistant Manager or Manager to join their growing tax team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional seeking a varied role combining corporate tax compliance, advisory work and client management. You will work closely with Partners and senior leadership, managing a portfolio of owner-managed businesses (OMBs) and providing commercially focused tax advice.
The Role

- Managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients, with a particular focus on owner-managed businesses
- Reviewing corporation tax computations and returns prepared by junior members of the team
- Providing corporate tax planning and advisory support
- Advising clients on remuneration planning, capital allowances, business reorganisations and succession planning
- Supporting clients with acquisitions, disposals and company restructures
- Working closely with Partners on complex advisory assignments
- Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact

Skills & Experience

- ACA, ACCA and/or CTA qualified (or qualified by experience)
- Previous corporate or mixed tax experience gained within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation
- Experience managing and advising owner-managed businesses
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear, practical tax advice
- Commercially minded with a proactive approach to client service
