A well-established and highly respected Independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Cheltenham is looking to recruit a Personal Tax Semi Senior to join its growing Private Client Tax team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious tax professional looking to further their career within a supportive and forward-thinking practice. Working alongside experienced Tax Managers and Partners, you'll gain exposure to a varied portfolio of private clients including high-net-worth individuals, directors, landlords, sole traders and trusts.
The Role
As a Personal Tax Semi Senior, you'll assist with managing a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients while developing your technical knowledge and advisory skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and submitting Self Assessment tax returns for a varied portfolio of individuals.
- Assisting with the management of private client portfolios, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Preparing Capital Gains Tax calculations and supporting with tax planning assignments.
- Assisting with Inheritance Tax matters and estate administration where required.
- Liaising directly with HMRC regarding client queries and tax matters.
- Supporting senior members of the tax team with advisory projects.
About You
To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience working within the Personal Tax department of a UK accountancy practice.
- ATT qualified, ATT part-qualified or studying towards ATT/CTA (or qualified by experience).
- Experience preparing Self-Assessment tax returns.
