Senior Manager - Financial Services Transactions Tax

The Opportunity

A globally connected professional services firm is seeking to appoint a Senior Manager to join its growing Financial Services Transactions Tax team. The team advises on high‑profile, complex transactions across banking, insurance and wealth & asset management, working on multi‑jurisdictional projects for a broad client base ranging from inbound investors to large multinational groups.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, growth‑oriented environment, combining technical depth with practical, commercial advice on some of the most challenging transactions in the market.

The Role

The Senior Manager will play a central role in delivering transaction‑focused tax advice to financial services clients. The position involves leading engagements, managing delivery teams, and supporting the development of long‑term client relationships.

This is a senior advisory role suited to someone with strong international tax and transactions experience who enjoys complex technical work alongside client and project leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing the successful delivery of financial services transactions tax projects with technical excellence and commercial focus
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships through high‑quality service and trusted advice
* Advising on international and transactional tax matters affecting financial services clients
* Identifying opportunities to add value to client engagements and contributing to proposals and business development
* Developing strong internal relationships and collaborating across specialist teams
* Coaching, delegating to and developing junior team members through hands‑on leadership

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be a client‑focused and commercially aware tax professional with the confidence to lead complex engagements.

Key attributes include:

* Strong technical and analytical capability in international and/or transactions tax
* Experience advising financial services clients in banking, insurance or wealth & asset management
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* A proactive, flexible and collaborative approach
* Proven ability to manage teams, projects and competing priorities

Experience and Qualifications

* Established tax practitioner with experience reviewing and delivering complex advisory work
* Financial services transactions experience essential
* Professional qualification such as ATT, ACA, CA or CTA (or equivalent depth of knowledge)
