Your new role

As Corporate Tax Director, you will lead the firm's corporate tax compliance function, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely and technically robust tax compliance services. In this senior role, you will:

* Oversee and review corporate tax returns for a wide range of owner‑managed businesses, SMEs and larger corporate groups.
* Provide technical guidance on corporate tax matters, ensuring high standards across the team.
* Manage workflow, resource planning and operational performance within the compliance team.
* Support clients through complex compliance issues, tax reviews and HMRC interactions.
* Work closely with partners to drive continuous improvement, enhance systems and support the wider tax strategy.
* Mentor, develop and lead tax team members, fostering a culture of quality and progression.

This is a leadership position with the scope to shape the compliance service line, influence process improvement, and contribute to long‑term business planning.

What you'll need to succeed

* Extensive experience in UK corporate tax compliance, ideally within a professional services or accountancy firm.
* Strong technical knowledge of corporate tax legislation and compliance requirements.
* Demonstrable experience managing complex portfolios and leading teams
* Excellent communication and client‑facing skills, with the ability to provide clear, pragmatic advice.
* A commercial and solutions‑focused mindset with the ability to improve processes and drive efficiency.
* CTA or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.
