Senior Tax Advisor - Global Tax Compliance & Advisory

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Advisor to join our client's in-house global Finance team. This is a key role responsible for managing overseas tax compliance, permanent establishment risk, and withholding tax matters, while supporting a broad range of international tax initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders in the tax function and collaborate with colleagues across multiple global offices.
Key Responsibilities
Overseas Tax Compliance & Audit
* Support the organisation's overseas tax compliance obligations, ensuring accurate and timely completion of filings, disclosures, and statutory requirements.
* Coordinate with local advisors to meet all compliance deadlines.
* Review and advise on withholding tax queries relating to client payments to ensure statutory compliance.
* Assist senior tax leadership with tax audits conducted by overseas authorities.
* Monitor, analyse, and communicate key legislative developments that may impact the organisation.
Withholding Tax (WHT)
* Prepare and coordinate applications for tax clearances, including reduced‑rate WHT certificates.
* Liaise with tax authorities to request certificates of residence and support with ad hoc tax documentation needs.
* Address WHT‑related queries from the business and assist in resolving issues raised by clients.
Support on Wider Global Tax Compliance
* Assist senior tax leaders and regional finance teams with corporate tax, VAT, and WHT compliance across overseas jurisdictions.
Additional Responsibilities
* Support on compliance with Corporate Criminal Offence legislation (failure to prevent tax evasion).
* Support the wider Tax team on VAT compliance and advisory matters.
About You
Essential:
* Experience in Corporate Tax, VAT, and WHT compliance and advisory.
* ACA or ACCA qualification.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively, adapt to changing priorities, and support a positive team environment.
* Strong relationship‑building skills with the ability to provide high‑quality support to internal stakeholders.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex matters clearly.
* Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manage and analyse large datasets.
Desirable:
* CTA or ADIT qualification.
