I am currently supporting a highly respected, forward‑thinking accountancy firm that is looking to appoint an Employment Tax Assistant Manager to join their growing Employment Tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid employment tax compliance experience who is ready to step up, broaden their exposure, and take on more responsibility.
About the Role
The successful individual will:
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact.
* Prepare P11D forms and PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA) calculations.
* Review P11Ds completed by junior team members to ensure accuracy.
* Draft clear, well‑structured written advice across a range of employment tax matters.
* Oversee and project‑manage advisory assignments.
* Lead a small team during the busy P11D season, ensuring smooth workflow and quality delivery.
* Support the development of junior colleagues through coaching and constructive feedback.
What You Will Need to Succeed
* 1-2 years of employment tax compliance experience, ideally within practice.
* Strong technical understanding of expenses and benefits.
* A proactive approach, with a high level of personal accountability.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Good organisational abilities and the confidence to work independently.
* The ability to manage deadlines in a fast‑moving environment.
* A positive mindset and willingness to receive and act on feedback.
Why This Role Could Be a Great Fit
This firm offers a supportive culture, genuine progression opportunities, and the chance to work closely with both junior and senior stakeholders. It's an ideal next step if you want to deepen your advisory experience while still staying hands‑on with compliance and client management.
This can be a full-time or part-time role (minimium 3 days a week). Also, remote working with occasional travel to London will also be considered.
