We are working with a leading international FMCG group to appoint a Head of Tax for the EMEA region based in their Thames Valley office. This is a senior leadership role with broad responsibility across corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing and tax governance, supporting a complex, multi-jurisdictional business operating at scale.
The role sits at the centre of finance and the wider business, partnering closely with regional leadership, Group Finance, Legal and external advisers. You will lead tax strategy across EMEA while ensuring robust compliance and effective risk management in a fast-moving, commercial environment.
Key responsibilities
Own and lead the EMEA tax agenda, aligning regional strategy with global tax policy and commercial objectives
Provide strategic tax advice on business operations, restructurings, supply chain, acquisitions and disposals
Oversee corporate tax, indirect tax and transfer pricing matters across multiple jurisdictions
Ensure timely, accurate and compliant tax filings across EMEA, managing both in-house teams and external advisers
Act as a senior point of contact for tax authorities, auditors and other external stakeholders
Drive improvements in tax governance, controls and reporting processes
Build, lead and develop a high-performing regional tax team
Advise senior leadership on tax risk, emerging legislation and regulatory developments
About you
ACA/ACCA/CTA Qualified
Proven experience in a senior tax leadership role within a multinational business, ideally FMCG or a similarly complex, consumer-led environment
Strong technical grounding across corporate tax and international tax, with a solid understanding of indirect tax and transfer pricing
Experience operating across multiple EMEA jurisdictions
Commercial mindset with the ability to balance risk, compliance and business objectives
Confident stakeholder manager, comfortable operating at board and executive level
Background in practice and industry is preferred
