Business Tax Senior Manager - CMT

The Role

This is a predominantly advisory-focused position within a growing corporation tax team. As a Business Tax Senior Manager, you will lead and support complex tax advisory projects, respond to technical queries, and help clients navigate evolving tax legislation. While managing a small compliance portfolio, your primary focus will be on delivering proactive, commercially focused tax solutions.

You'll work closely with partners and colleagues, manage junior staff, and play a key role in shaping tax strategies for high-profile clients in the CMT sector.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and support tax advisory projects including:

* Corporate restructuring and demergers
* International tax matters
* Tax due diligence

* Manage a small portfolio of large corporate clients:

* Review corporate tax compliance
* Identify and implement tax-efficient opportunities
* Liaise with engagement partners
* Manage billing and work in progress

* Assist with technical tax queries and contribute to business development initiatives
* Support team leadership, including line management, training, and appraisals

Candidate Profile

* CTA and/or ACA qualified
* Proven experience managing a client portfolio, including corporate groups
* Strong technical and interpersonal skills
* Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
* Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines
* Skilled in Microsoft Office; Alphatax experience is a plus
