Senior Manager - Property Tax

The Company

A leading professional services firm with a strong reputation in the property sector is seeking a Senior Manager to join its dynamic Business Tax team. The Role

This is a client-facing, advisory-focused position within the property tax team. You'll work closely with senior leadership to deliver high-quality tax advice, manage key client relationships, and support the development of junior team members. The role offers exposure to a wide range of property clients including owner-managed businesses, investment and development groups, and real estate funds.

Key Responsibilities

* Delivering tax advisory services on property-related matters, including:

* Structuring advice (e.g. companies, LLPs, property funds)
* Group reorganisations and tax planning
* Interest deductibility and international tax issues
* Withholding tax considerations

* Leading tax due diligence and transactional advisory projects
* Advising on tax structuring for acquisitions, disposals, and joint ventures
* Reviewing tax provisions in SPAs, including warranties and indemnities
* Managing a portfolio of large property clients and ensuring service excellence
* Identifying tax-efficient opportunities and implementing solutions
* Overseeing billing and work-in-progress
* Line managing junior staff and supporting their development
* Participating in internal property sector initiatives and events
* Representing the firm at property networking events and contributing to business development

Candidate Profile

* Proven experience managing a client portfolio, ideally within the property sector
* Strong advisory background with a focus on corporate tax
* CTA qualification preferred
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Creative thinker with a proactive approach to identifying tax opportunities
* Proficient in Microsoft Office; AlphaTax knowledge is a plus
