The Role
We're seeking an Assistant Manager - Deals Indirect Tax to join a specialist team focused on supporting clients through complex transactions. This role offers the chance to work across a variety of sectors including M&A, Real Estate, Private Equity, and Business Recovery Services, while delivering strategic VAT and Indirect Tax advice.
 
Key Responsibilities
 * Conduct Indirect Tax due diligence for acquisitions and disposals.
 * Provide VAT structuring and restructuring advice to optimise client operations.
 * Advise on Indirect Tax implications of business model changes and transformations.
 * Collaborate with Deals Tax colleagues to deliver bespoke client solutions.
 * Model funds flow to assess future Indirect Tax liabilities.
 * Support clients with pre- and post-deal structuring and VAT compliance.
 * Deliver consultancy services to PE-backed portfolio companies and Real Estate clients.
 
Candidate Profile
 * Strong technical and analytical expertise in Indirect Tax.
 * Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
 * Excellent relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
 * Creative problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
 * Experience in project management and team leadership.
 * Committed to continuous professional development and mentoring others.
 * Chartered Tax Advisor (ATT, CTA) or equivalent qualification - open to seeing strong part-qualified candidates near the end of their studies.
