Head of Transfer Pricing - FTSE (Midlands)

Role summary:

As Head of Transfer Pricing you will lead the Group's transfer pricing function across over the territories, working closely with tax specialists and other professionals across the global organisation.

What you will be doing:

* Responsible for leading and developing the Group transfer pricing team, ensuring that the team are providing the required support and business partnering.
* As a tax leader, role model the behaviours and leadership expectations of the business and play a key role in the leadership across the tax team contributing to team development and functional strategy.
* Responsible for the Group's transfer pricing strategy and policies and for ensuring the Group meets its global tax transfer pricing obligations in all relevant jurisdictions including documentation, operational transfer pricing, risk management processes and controls to meet Master, Local File and CBCR and pCBCR requirements.
* Managing transfer pricing tax disputes, MAP and APA processes and audits including engagement with the regional tax teams and external advisers and engaging with local tax authorities as required.
* Advising the businesses on managing the transfer pricing implications and risks associated with complex cross border transactions relating to existing, evolving or new business and operating models.
* Liaising with and supporting tax teams around the world to resolve any transfer pricing issues.
* Managing transfer pricing elements of group reporting and forecasting and supporting the Head of Tax with Group tax disclosure policy.
* Actively engaging in ongoing improvement initiatives with a view to improving processes, increasing standardisation, simplification and automation.
* Overseeing the training of businesses and functions to ensure transfer pricing risks are understood and appropriately managed.
* Managing ad hoc projects and advice in support of Head of Tax

Desired experience:

* A minimum of 10 years post qualified experience
* Experience of cost sharing agreements
* Detailed understanding of latest BEPS requirements, OECD TP guidelines, OECD Report on Business Restructurings and HMRC's Guidelines for Compliance
* Experience of managing dispute resolutions with tax authorities in APA and MAP situations
* Strong business acumen and curiosity to understand business models
* Experience leading and developing tax professionals and managers
* A team player with an ability to liaise and influence across multiple jurisdictions, businesses and functions.
* Proven communication skills, including a strong ability to explain complex tax issues to non-tax specialists.
* Strong organisational skills and problem-solving abilities
* Achievement oriented and enthusiastic
