Pure Search are partnered with a high performing financial services company in Glasgow, looking to hire a Tax Manager or Senior Manager.

The successful candidate will join a high-performing finance function, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of corporate tax processes, driving operational efficiency, and supporting strategic business objectives through expert tax management and advisory insight.

Key Responsibilities

* Leads and delivers a portfolio of tax-related projects, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and adherence to internal controls and external regulations.
* Collaborates cross-functionally with colleagues across finance, accounting, and broader business units to align on tax strategy and operational priorities.
* Oversees and reviews corporate tax returns, reporting cycles, and forecasting processes, ensuring deadlines and standards are consistently met.
* Identifies, assesses, and mitigates potential risks in tax operations, implementing measures to strengthen governance and control frameworks.
* Champions best practices in process improvement, automation, and efficiency within the tax and finance ecosystem.
* Develops and mentors team members, providing coaching, feedback, and structured development plans to build technical and leadership capability.
* Contributes to wider finance initiatives, supporting transformation projects, audits, and financial reporting requirements.
* Acts as a culture leader, fostering accountability, professionalism, and collaboration throughout the team.

Skills and Experience Required

* Possesses a strong understanding of UK Corporation Tax compliance and associated reporting processes, minimum 3+ years post qualified.
* Has knowledge of tax forecasting, deferred tax, and accounting for income taxes.
* Holds a relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, CA, ATT, or CTA.
* Demonstrates a proven track record of working in complex tax environments, ideally within a multinational or financial services setting.
* Has experience with US GAAP and EMEA tax compliance.
* Demonstrates people management experience, with the ability to guide and motivate high-performing teams.

This is a well compensated role based in the Glasgow offices.
