About the Role
This is a senior leadership opportunity to head up the international tax function within a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment. You’ll take ownership of the group’s global tax strategy, compliance, and governance, ensuring it remains aligned with best practice while supporting commercial objectives. Working closely with senior finance and management stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in shaping the business’s international expansion and financial efficiency.
Responsibilities
• Lead and develop the international tax team, ensuring strong technical capability and succession planning
• Oversee global tax compliance and reporting, including income, corporation, VAT/sales tax and transfer pricing obligations
• Manage international tax risks and develop robust governance frameworks
• Advise on cross-border structuring, partner mobility, and employment tax matters
• Liaise with global tax authorities and external advisors, managing audits and negotiations as required
• Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives including new market entry, acquisitions, and remuneration design

Ideal Candidate
• Qualified accountant and/or tax adviser with 10+ years’ post-qualified experience
• Proven leadership experience in an international, partnership, or large corporate environment
• Deep technical expertise across international tax, with exposure to UK, US, and Australian regimes advantageous
• Strong commercial acumen, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, hands-on approach
