I am delighted to be recruiting to an interim (9 months) EMEA Indirect Tax Manager role which is to start ASAP and to run through to the summer of 2026.
This opportunity reports to the EMEA Head of Indirect Tax, and to the EMEA Head of Tax, both located in the UK, with the role based close to Bruges in Belgium, and involves being in the office 2-3 days per week.
The focus of the role is on providing indirect tax advice and compliance management across the EMEA region, with duties including:
* Providing indirect tax advice to the commercial, legal and finance teams.
* Provide indirect tax input to the finance transformation project.
* Manage the indirect tax outsourced provider.
* Look to improve indirect tax processes.
* Prepare and review the indirect tax returns which have not yet been outsourced.
* Manage tax authority enquiries and audits.
To be considered for this role it is essential to have indirect tax experience from an international setting, and to be comfortable preparing VAT returns and managing compliance, through to liaising with the business and advising on indirect tax aspects. As the indirect tax team are spread across different countries, there is a somewhat autonomous nature to this role, and so the successful applicant will be self-sufficient.
This is a great opportunity to cover the breadth of an indirect tax role across different jurisdictions, and play a pivotal part in the indirect tax team.
