The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Trusts professional to take ownership of a diverse client portfolio, focusing on the accounting, tax, and administration of UK trusts, estates, and charities. The role is client-facing and requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a team setting and can manage deadlines effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage a portfolio of trust and estate clients, ensuring timely delivery of services.

· Maintain computerised accounting records and prepare annual trust and estate accounts.

· Handle all client and professional correspondence with HMRC, brokers, banks, and legal professionals.

· Prepare management accounts, cheques, and annual returns for charities.

· Compute and submit income tax, inheritance tax, and capital gains tax returns.

· Review work prepared by junior staff, providing guidance and identifying areas for improvement.

· Attend client meetings and contribute to documentation and billing processes.

· Stay up to date with software developments and share insights with the wider team.

Candidate Profile

· Strong understanding of UK and offshore trust taxation and charity regulations.

· Experience in a professional services or partnership environment.

· Proficient in CCH, trust accounts software, Viztopia, and MS Office.

· Qualified or studying towards ACCA, STEP, or CTA.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities with accuracy.

· A collaborative team player who builds effective relationships across all levels.
