EMEA Tax Director, Munich, to €200k

Pure Search are partnered with a well known brand in Germany, looking to hire an EMEA Tax Director.

Responsibilities:

Take ownership of tax risk management across Germany, leading the resolution of sensitive audits and negotiations with authorities.

Translate shifting tax laws across EMEA into practical strategies that enable growth while safeguarding compliance.
*

Provide high-level input on structuring, transfer pricing, and cross-border arrangements for major business projects.
*

Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, legal, and finance teams - ensuring decisions are both commercially sound and tax-efficient.
*

Drive forward-thinking approaches to complex technical issues, turning ambiguity into clarity for the wider organization.

Applicant Requirements:

A degree in Tax, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
*

At least a decade of professional experience in international tax gained from a Big 4 advisory firm, leading law practice, government authority, or large multinational.
*

In-depth knowledge of German corporate tax rules, with a strong command of transfer pricing and cross-border structuring.
*

Proven expertise handling large-scale audits, negotiations, or dispute resolution processes with measurable success.
*

Professional fluency in both German and English, with excellent influencing and communication skills.
*

A sharp analytical mindset, coupled with the ability to turn technical complexity into clear and actionable guidance for non-specialists.

The role is paying up to 200,000 euros. Munich based only.
