Our client is a leading accountancy and advisory firm supporting ambitious, high-growth businesses across the UK and internationally. They are seeking a highly experienced VAT Associate Director or Director to join their growing team in Southampton.
The Opportunity
This is a key leadership role offering the chance to manage a diverse portfolio of clients, lead complex VAT advisory projects, and contribute to the strategic growth of the VAT practice. You'll work closely with Partners and senior stakeholders, delivering high-quality advice and identifying new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead VAT advisory and compliance services for a broad client base.
* Manage and grow a profitable client portfolio.
* Support Partners with strategic planning and business development.
* Mentor and develop junior team members.
* Deliver innovative solutions to complex VAT issues.
* Build strong internal and external networks.
About You
* Significant VAT experience at Senior Manager level or above.
* Strong technical knowledge and commercial awareness.
* CTA and/or ACA qualified (or equivalent).
* Proven ability to lead teams and manage client relationships.
* Experience from either a Big 4 or reputable independent firm.
