Assistant Manager - Corporate & International Tax, London
This leading corporate and international tax team advises some of the largest multinational companies in the UK. Operating nationally, the team is based across more than ten offices.
The team is looking for an Assistant Manager who is eager to take on technical challenges, build strong client relationships, and contribute to the development of junior colleagues. Candidates should have experience in managing corporate and international tax projects within multidisciplinary teams. The role offers flexibility, allowing candidates to be based in any of the firm's UK offices.
This position provides a diverse and rewarding workload, with excellent career development opportunities. Assistant Managers will work alongside Managers, Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners, gaining valuable exposure to high-profile engagements. Key Responsibilities
* Provide corporate and international tax advice to large clients across a variety of sectors
* Assist in managing client relationships, identifying opportunities for new business development through networking and referrals
* Support the preparation and review of corporate tax computations, ensuring compliance with tax reporting obligations
* Contribute to training and mentoring junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
* Work on transactional tax projects, solving complex tax issues in areas such as restructuring and refinancing
Ideal Candidate Profile
This role is suited for individuals who:
* Hold a professional tax qualification (e.g. ACA, ATT, CTA, CA, ACCA or an equivalent international qualification) or have relevant work experience
* Have experience advising on UK and international corporate tax matters
* Possess strong UK corporate tax compliance knowledge, including tax accounting and group reporting
* Have solid accounting knowledge with the ability to interpret statutory accounts
* Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, engaging confidently with clients and internal teams
* Bring enthusiasm for business development, supporting client relationships and identifying new opportunities
* Understand broader UK and global business trends, with the ability to discuss their tax implications
