Your responsibilities as the Head of Indirect Tax
This senior role offers the opportunity to define and lead the global indirect tax strategy for Financial Services, directly influencing commercial decision-making, regulatory positioning, and international expansion.You will represent the firm with regulators and industry bodies, shape tax policy, and deliver proactive planning across VAT, GST, customs, and emerging regimes.
Your key responsibilities include ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions, driving consistency in global frameworks, and embedding risk management into governance. You will also build and mentor a high-performing global tax team while championing innovation and technology in tax processes.
Requirements
We are seeking a highly experienced Qualified Tax Professional (CTA, ATT, or international equivalent) with over 12 years of senior leadership experience in indirect tax within financial services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of influencing at Executive Committee and Board level, with the credibility to engage confidently with regulators and senior policymakers.
You will bring deep technical expertise across global indirect tax regimes, with specialist knowledge of Financial Services related issues such as VAT on financial instruments, cross-border supply of services, and the evolving digital economy. In addition, you will be recognised for your experience in tax policy engagement, with the ability to both shape and respond effectively to developments in this space.
