Role Overview

The Private Client Tax Assistant Manager will support senior managers, directors, and partners in delivering high-quality compliance and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients. These include high-net-worth individuals, family groups, non-resident landlords, and internationally mobile professionals.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage a condensed portfolio of private clients, with oversight from senior team members
* Review personal tax returns and capital gains tax filings
* Assist in delivering advisory work on trusts, estates, international tax planning, and profit extraction
* Liaise directly with clients and handle technical queries
* Monitor WIP and billing for assigned clients
* Mentor and support junior staff, contributing to internal training initiatives
* Participate in business development activities and contribute to thought leadership content

Candidate Requirements

* ACA, CA, CTA or equivalent qualification
* Experience in private client tax gained within a UK accountancy practice
* Strong technical knowledge across residence, domicile, trusts, and international tax matters
* Ability to manage a small portfolio and support advisory projects
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
