Your new role

We're looking for an ambitious and strategically minded individual who is looking to take the next step in their career, one that provides a fast-track route to buy-in and taking a real ownership role within the business. As Head of Tax, you will be building and leading a successful tax advisory team, playing a pivotal role in leading a tax advisory and planning offering as the firm expands its presence in the North West.
Clients include SMEs across a variety of sectors as well as high-net-worth individuals. The Head of Tax will be managing the pipeline of opportunity within their existing client base, with scope to expand transactional and tax-planning services, whilst playing a key role in driving the firm forward to sustain its commercial success and reputation.

* Providing suitable strategic and technical advice and guidance to clients with regard to their corporate / personal tax affairs
* Understanding and evaluating the client's situation and tailoring advice accordingly
* Providing technically accurate documentation and key transaction documents
* Dealing with client negotiations and liaising with advisors
* Leading client meetings
* Understanding and evaluating the impact of market and general economic indicators, and identifying any necessary changes to proposed tax advice
* Contributing to the firm's growth by retaining existing clients, building relationships with prospective clients and cross-selling service lines
* Working with the leadership team on our strategic growth plans

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for someone who is keen to actively contribute to the success of the wider firm. You either have a track record of leading a successful tax advisory team and driving revenue, or someone with the capability to do so but is held back in their current firm.
Key experience:

* An advisor with strong technical knowledge and experience of controlling a diverse portfolio of corporate and personal tax clients across sectors
* A strong business developer who is keen to contribute to the firm's growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients
* An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills who can influence at all levels
