Indirect Tax Director - Leading International Bank - London - Hybrid working 2 days a week

Our client is a leading international bank and a constituent of the FTSE 100 index, with a presence in over 50 markets across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and beyond. They are looking to hire an Indirect Tax Lead to join its Group Tax function. This is a senior-level opportunity, reporting directly into the Head of Tax, and will take full responsibility for UK and EMEA Indirect Tax advisory matters.

As the most senior Indirect Tax specialist across the UK and Europe, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the group's approach to indirect tax, managing key stakeholder relationships, and acting as the primary point of contact for all advisory matters in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead all indirect tax advisory matters across the UK and EMEA
* Act as the principal subject matter expert and first point of contact for internal stakeholders
* Manage and develop one direct report within the team
* Oversee and maintain a strong relationship with the third-party provider responsible for indirect tax compliance
* Partner with the wider tax, finance, and legal teams to ensure the business remains aligned with evolving VAT/GST legislation
* Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, and governance related to indirect tax
