A new role has arisen with this global brand to join an established Customs team and help manage the increasing complexity or International Trade. The main areas of responsibility will include:
● Tariff classification: Tariff classification of goods under UK, EU and worldwide import and export regulations. These include assigning Harmonised System (HS), Combined Nomenclature (CN) and UK Tariff commodity codes for all goods required for import and export compliance purposes. Additionally, recording the legal justification for the determination made.
● Submission of EUDR Due Diligence Statements (DDS): Creation and submission of EUDR DDS for in-scope goods crossing the EU border as imports and exports, as well as finished products produced within the EU market from a raw material or intermediary semi-processed material.
● The role will include other responsibilities agreed from time to time to reflect the changing needs of the business and changes in the international trade legal environment, to ensure customs compliance and minimise shipment delivery delays and costs.
