VAT Compliance Specialist, Hampshire

A new role has arisen with this highly successful manufacturing business. Working as part of the finance team and with support from external advisors it’s a varied role with responsibility for compliance for the business and some advisory work. Specifically this will include:

● Prepare, review & submit VAT returns and European Sales Lists for EU & Non EU jurisdictions
● Reconciliation of GL sales to reported VAT sales
● Monthly GL reconciliations and monthly GL Journals
● Act in an advisory capacity to the business on all VAT related issues
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that VAT is correctly accounted for on all transactions.
● Proactively support IT team to maintain VAT matrix, VAT rules and VAT rate codes. Responsible for all testing and migration of systematic ERP changes in respect of all VAT matters.
● Take the lead on VAT projects and improvement initiatives in line with overall Finance Strategy.

To apply you will need experience of VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales processes and reconciliations with a European (including UK) remit. Experience with Oracle, specifically Oracle Financials will be an advantage. To find out more and for a full job description please get in contact.
