They are seeking an experienced Finance Director to be part of the senior leadership team and continue on their growth journey. Your new role
This role will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of this business and be instrumental in the commercial and strategic direction moving forward, while ensuring the company's financial commitments are met. Specifically, you will be responsible for the following:

* To work as part of the Senior Leadership Team, providing expert advice and guidance on strategic financial and commercial matters in line with the company objectives.
* To lead, direct and control the finance team to ensure they are motivated, guided and technically competent.
* To be responsible for the overall control of the Group's finance function, ensuring the company's accounts are presented accurately and on time, books and records are always maintained to a high standard and that all legal responsibilities are met.
* To ensure the Group's accounting systems and controls are robust, compliant, and fit current and planned future activities.
* To ensure budgets and forecasts are robustly prepared and submitted in accordance with the Company's corporate calendar.
* To control the Group's annual operating budget through constant measurement and reporting, to ensure that all financial targets are met.
* To have overall responsibility for the management of the Company's cash flow and working capital management.
* To support the business in negotiating and entering commercial contracts with the Group's customers and suppliers.
* To ensure a high level of Corporate Governance is always maintained, meeting all regulatory requirements, and reporting any irregularities to the Managing Director or the Board of Directors, assessing, managing and minimising financial and commercial risk across the Group.
* To work with the business to identify key financial and commercial KPIs to support the Group's aims and objectives.

This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, but an exact working pattern can be flexible for the right person.

What you'll need to succeed
The Group Finance Director must meet the requirement for a commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful, and influential leader with the ability to operate and communicate at both strategic and operational levels. To form a close working relationship with the Managing Director and other senior executives.

You will possess the following qualities:

ESSENTIAL

* You will be a fully qualified chartered accountant.
* Proven experience in a financial leadership role in a medium to large organisation
* Strong people management and leadership exposure
* Ability to use qualitative and quantitive data to make informed business decisions
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels
* High integrity and openness combined with a commitment to good governance
* Strong IT skills

DESIRABLE

* Demonstrable experience within a complex manufacturing business
* Experience of working in a multi-site operation
* Exposure to consolidated reporting of foreign entities
* Experience of mergers and acquisitions

This company operates a hybrid working policy which requires an office presence 3 times a week.
