Senior Audit Advisor (Director level)

Hays are currently working with a regulator based in Birmingham, who are looking for a Senior Audit Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your new role
This is a Director level, advisory role, where you will provide Audit expertise to support with high-profile, complex casework and investigations.
Some of the key responsibilities include:

* Assisting in identifying issues of potential non-compliance with the regulatory framework
* Assisting investigation case teams to determine key focus areas
* Liaising with forensic accountants and lawyers during the investigation and advising on any changes
* Reviewing sections of complex audit files
* Advising case teams on the seriousness/significance of breaches identified
* Helping investigations to progress in a fair and professional manner

What you\'ll need to succeed

* You will be a qualified accountant with substantial experience at director level (acting as a responsible individual).
* Have strong technical auditing and accounting skills
* Have a good understanding of the requirements of a regulatory or disciplinary process
* Be skilled at explaining complex accounting and auditing concepts to a varied audience
