Head of Tax (Luxury Retailer)

A renowned luxury retailer with a global presence is looking for a Head of Tax to lead their well-established tax function and contribute to their continued success and growth.

As the Head of Tax you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and strategy for their company. This crucial role requires a highly experienced tax professional who can navigate complex tax landscapes, mitigate risks, and identify opportunities to optimise their tax position while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

- Provide tax leadership to the Group finance team, 4 direct reports across CT, VAT
and ET
- Direct tax strategy for the business
- Act as point of contact for external advisors and tax authorities
- Provide guidance and support on tax-related matters to internal stakeholders,
including finance, legal, and executive leadership teams.
- Lead transfer pricing initiatives and ensure compliance with transfer pricing
regulations across jurisdictions.

Requirements:

- Retail tax experience with significant PQE
- Up to date knowledge of UK tax legislation
- Strong leadership qualities
- Available within 4-6 weeks
