Global VAT Manager, Financial Services Group

An opportunity has arisen in an international financial services Group who are looking for a Senior Tax Manager to join their tax team to lead indirect tax. The role requires someone who is able to provide strategic guidance and direction in indirect tax, providing advice and solutions to the business, whilst also happy to roll up their sleeves and get into the details around VAT accounting.

Reporting the to the Head of Tax, this is an excellent opportunity to take ownership over indirect tax. Responsibilities include:

* Provide effective indirect tax support on transactions and projects, business partnering and decision support on indirect tax matters.
* Ownership of Group Indirect Tax Strategy
* Prepare and finalise VAT returns (including Annual Adjustments and Capital Goods Scheme calculations) and manage the overall compliance process, and calculation of post-return journals including balance sheet reconciliations.
* Ownership over HMRC enquiries and correspondence

This would suit either an experienced Manager or Senior Manager looking for their first move out of the Profession, or someone working in-house and looking for a step up in breadth and ownership of the indirect tax function. Financial Services experience is required as well as someone who can work collaboratively with the tax team and business.
