Head of Tax - 12 months contract - to £130k

Immediate requirement for an experienced Head of Tax to work in this Head of Tax interim tax job in London, for a 12 months tax contract.

Joining an internationally recognised brand and leading the UK tax team, covering a 12 months maternity contract, the Head of Tax will be a member of the Finance Leadership Team and act as a senior leader within the UK operations of this international company.

The crux of the position is to manage and optimise the tax position of the UK arm of the group, advising internal stakeholders on tax matters (advising the front line business and also on M&A activity), whilst maintaining compliance and UK legislative requirements. Representing the UK tax function within the global tax team, and effective liaison with the internal team is also crucial. In addition to the tax technical duties, and the internal and external relationship liaison, there are also the crucial duties around staff management of 3 Tax Managers, ensuring their development and satisfaction over the 12 months period.

The role requires the successful applicant to have UK tax compliance and advisory experience and to have previously lead an in-house tax team. This is to ensure an excellent working knowledge of UK tax, and to have people management experience.
