Your new company
This is a major multinational retail corporation who are looking to recruit an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to further expand their Corporate Tax operation in their UK HQ. This is an exciting role where you can get involved in complex UK corporate tax compliance and advisory work whilst taking a lead on post-merger activity. The company employ over 10,000 people globally and has revenues exceeding £10bn per year. The organisation is going through an exciting transitional phase following recent M&A activity, and they have a large in-house corporate tax team which offers excellent career progression.
Your new role
This role will see you take on UK Corporation Tax advice and compliance for the company, whilst being a central point of contact for wider business taxation matters. You will have the opportunity to take on new and exciting projects, and be actively encouraged to broaden the scope of the role with strategic implementation, system enhancement and risk and compliance management. You will be a self-starter who can bring a fresh perspective to the role whilst having extensive Corporate Tax knowledge & experience, and be eager to take part in post-merger activity in a growing multinational group of companies. You will be required to manage the corporate tax cycle - including computations, advice, tax disclosures for accounts and quarterly forecasting, along with managing the organisation's relationship with HMRC and being a good point of contact for external advisers. You will take part in large projects including the structuring of new developments, tax financing, capital allowance projects, transfer pricing, and employment related securities. You will also be required to communicate and liaise with local, regional and group finance teams.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in your application, you will have a minimum of 3 years of Corporate Tax qualified experience, ideally with experience gained within the retail sector or retail clients. You will have an accounting or tax qualification, such as ACCA, ACA or CTA. The role is open to first-time practice movers, or people with experience gained in industry already. You will have good communication skills, and be confident in discussing complex corporate tax queries with internal finance, external advisers, and HMRC.
