As our client continues to expand, they are actively seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Payroll Senior Manager to join their People Services team.

Role: The Payroll Senior Manager at our client's organisation plays a pivotal role in overseeing payroll operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and accurate services to valued clients. This individual will lead and develop the core payroll team, working closely with the existing Payroll Manager to drive growth and excellence in payroll services.

Key Responsibilities: The Payroll Senior Manager will be responsible for: Delivering Excellence: Providing cost-effective, accurate, and professional payroll services while ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction. Efficiency Matters: Processing payrolls efficiently, effectively, and accurately within strict deadlines. Team Development: Leading and developing the payroll team to help them reach their full potential. Growth Focus: Identifying opportunities for growth and developing strategies to capture them. Staying Compliant: Maintaining knowledge of current legislation and ensuring statutory compliance, including team training. Driving Change: Evaluating current processes, implementing improvements, and embracing new processes to foster positive change. Effective Communication: Handling internal and external queries through clear and effective communication. Service Excellence: Ensuring successful service delivery, achieving SLA targets, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. KPI Mastery: Developing and monitoring key performance indicators to track progress. Profitability: Identifying cost-saving opportunities to increase profitability. Collaboration: Collaborating with various teams to expand payroll services and identify cross-selling opportunities. Project Leadership: Leading and managing various payroll and wider GMS services projects. Strategic Planning: Engaging in strategic resource planning, department financial planning, and portfolio management. Team Leadership: Overseeing team operations and performance management. Vendor Management: Handling vendor/supplier management and recruitment.

Requirements: Our client is seeking a candidate with: Extensive Experience: A minimum of 10 years' experience in payroll management. Team Leadership: Proven experience in team management is essential. Qualification: Preferably CIPP qualified. System Knowledge: Familiarity with the STAR payroll professional system is advantageous. Expat Experience: Previous experience with expat and modified payroll is preferred. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills. Risk Management: Forward-thinking in assessing risks and addressing issues. Tech Proficiency: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Leadership Qualities: Confidence, approachability, and the ability to lead during periods of change. Solution-Oriented: A focus on problem-solving and finding solutions.
