This is an award-winning, dynamic and large financial services organisation that specialise in offering financial wellbeing and support for major employers and brands across the UK. The company are going through a period of growth, and as such are looking to recruit the senior appointment of a Head of Risk and Compliance to be based in their modern, easily accessible Liverpool office. The organisation specialise in offering financial education, coaching, wellbeing and guidance to major, well-known private, public and not-for profit companies and their employees. This is a brand-new, growth based vacancy, in a senior management capacity that reports into the Group Head of Risk and Compliance.

Your new role
This is a senior manager and 'key stakeholder' position with the organisation, reporting into the Head of Group Risk and Compliance. Your main responsibility will be ensuring that the group remains compliant with regulatory requirements (such as the FCA, ICO and HMRC), whilst managing risk and ensuring internal processes are being adhered to. Some of the key, day-to-day responsibilities will include:

* Assisting with risk and compliance strategy implementation, along with driving transformation, digital initiatives, and key changes within the group.
* Plan, design and implement compliance and risk management framework - along with qualifying the organisations risk strategy & appetite.
* Coordinate compliance audits, assessments and reviews, whilst ensuring business is conducted in a compliant manner.
* Build strong, effective relationships with stakeholders and colleagues across the businesses, along with reporting to the board when required.
* Manage a team and direct reports when necessary, including promoting a high performance culture and best practice, along with assisting with talent acquisition & recruitment when required.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in your application for this role, you will have strong management experience within a compliance and risk setting, ideally within financial services or similar professional sector. You will have a good knowledge and working understanding of FCA rules and regulations, and ideally ICO and HMRC too. Due to the seniority and nature of the position, you will have a demonstrable and proven track record of leadership, effective performance, and people management - along with the ability to grow and develop a successful team. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to report to and influence senior directors and the board when required.

The company are offering a highly competitive salary package for this role, which is between £75,000 and £95,000, and negotiable depending on your previous experience and knowledge within this area.
