The Financial Services (FS) Tax practice provides tax advisory, transactions, and compliance services to clients in the Financial Services market, serving multinational institutions, corporations, and funds.

The US tax compliance team, part of the EMEIA Wealth & Asset Management practice, is experiencing growth due to client demand from European asset managers with US investors or activity.

This is an opportunity to be part of a London-based team of US-qualified tax professionals. The team, comprising 50+ experts, focuses on delivering exceptional client service to the asset management industry, including hedge funds, private equity funds, and real estate funds.

The team seeks motivated, energetic, and collaborative individuals to enhance their dynamic London team. They are specifically looking for US Tax Managers or Senior Tax Managers with fund experience to contribute to the team's growth.

The role involves overseeing fund US tax compliance engagements, considering risk, operational, and tax technical issues. Researching US tax legislation and explaining its impact to asset management clients is crucial. The role includes coaching junior staff, both onshore and offshore, and coordinating multiple engagement teams' schedules and deadlines.

The ideal candidate exhibits a positive attitude, excellent time management, and project management skills. Proficiency in securities analysis for non-475 funds, understanding of fund partnership allocations, and experience advising clients on US tax implications are essential. Juggling priorities, learning new concepts independently, and enthusiasm for coaching and developing team members are key attributes.

Qualifications include a current CPA, EA, equivalent qualification, or a degree/master's degree in accounting or taxation. Profound knowledge of corporate and international tax returns, experience in preparing and reviewing partnership tax returns, and familiarity with Go Systems tax preparation software are required.

Ideal candidates bring experience in managing cross-border teams, explaining US tax concepts practically, and knowledge of fund US tax preparation software and management company structures. A background in financial services, particularly with funds in a US tax capacity, and experience in delivering training to junior team members are valued.

The organisation offers a competitive remuneration package, flexible working options, and career development. The supportive environment provides coaching, feedback, and opportunities to learn and progress. The commitment to work-life balance through flexible arrangements ensures a rewarding experience.

As a global leader in assurance, tax, transaction, and advisory services, the organization fosters a culture of training, opportunities, and creative freedom to make a positive impact.

Join a team that values inclusivity and offers a platform to shape a better working world. To discuss this opportunity in more detail and apply please send your CV to opportunities@capitaltaxrecruitment.com and a member of the team will be in touch soon.
