Your key responsibilities
As a Consultant specialised in Customs and Trade matters, the chosen candidate will be responsible for delivering advisory services related to customs, trade, and excise to multinational clients across various industries. This will include the following:
● Conduct research on a wide range of import/export transactions in the Netherlands, examining customs, trade, and excise issues in accordance with international and local regulations. Support the preparation of advice for clients regarding import and export activities in the country.
● Assist clients in devising and implementing strategies to minimise customs duties and excise taxes, as well as optimize their supply chains. This will involve analysing and applying Free Trade Agreements, special customs procedures, and customs/trade incentive programs.
● Support clients in managing the customs compliance risks associated with international trade. This includes focusing on areas such as tariff classification, customs valuation, rules of origin, import and export controls. Tasks will encompass conducting due diligence, performing compliance reviews, and resolving disputes with government authorities such as Customs and the Department of Foreign Trade.
● Participate in meetings with clients and government authorities, providing support as needed.
● Assist in managing client portfolios and assignments, as well as preparing workshops, seminars, and conferences.
● Collaborate with a global network of Customs & Global Trade professionals in the chosen region, engaging in cross-border projects as part of an integrated team.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have 3-6 years of relevant experience, be fluent in Dutch, and hold a strong knowledge of Dutch Legislation and Law.

● €100,000 - €130,000 per annum
