Interim Group Tax Manager
Responsible for VAT for the group
We are working with a client to appoint an Interim group Tax Manager to cover 12 months maternity leave. The role can be undertaken remotely.
The main responsibilities for this role are the VAT returns for the group so you will have experience in managing VAT and producing VAT returns for an organisation along with some broader corporate tax work where you will be assisting the Group Chief Accountant.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Quarterly group VAT returns, partial exemption calculations and reconciliation of VAT control accounts
Providing year end VAT workings and reconciliations to auditors
Review of transactional VAT data, providing support to the transactional team and providing VAT advice to the wider Finance Team
Completion of a specific VAT project
Monthly VAT review of expenses
Advising on VAT treatment of new contracts and ensuring the contract is set up correctly on Agresso
Ensuring policies, structure and transaction processing is maintained to minimise irrecoverable VAT and identification and evaluation of VAT opportunities
Preparation of corporate tax returns and tax accounting calculations.
Gift aid returns including maintenance of the retail gift aid database
Preparation and submission of PSA Return for all relevant group entities
Adhoc completion of “CEST” determinations to determine employment status of suppliers
