UK/ US Corporate Tax Manager, Rawlinson & Hunter, London

Due to growth, the UK/US Private Client Tax department are expanding and this offers an exciting opportunity to individuals seeking a route towards helping in building up of the business. We are recruiting for a US Corporate Tax Manager (or above) with sound technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and experience working in a demanding and client focussed environment. The ideal candidate will hold an EA / CPA qualification.

As a Manager in the UK/US Tax Department, your day to day work will include:

● Corporate tax compliance work which either form part of an individuals’ filing obligation or for a corporate / partnership entity.
● Tax advice for compliance and planning purposes for individuals or entities with a UK / US connection.
● Personal tax compliance for High Net Worth Individuals with both UK and US tax connections
● Review of tax returns for US tax resident and non-resident alien individuals, including associated US information filings
● Review of US State Tax Returns for State residents and non-residents
● Some possible review of UK tax returns for UK domiciled and non-UK-domiciled high net worth individuals
● Providing advice to UK domiciled and non-UK-domiciled individuals on a wide range of issues, particularly in relation to corporate issues and structures.
● Providing advice in respect of the operation of the UK/US Double Tax treaty
● Dealing with clients and third parties internationally in an efficient and effective manner.
● Delegating responsibility to junior team members
● Training Staff and developing the technical capacity of the team in dealing with corporate tax matters and being responsible for sharing updates and implementing changes as they arise.
● Mentoring and nurturing junior staff members.

We are looking for someone with:

● Enrolled agent qualification and excellent technical skills
● Excellent communication skills and technical knowledge
● Experience within both UK and US Corporate and to some extent also Private Client Tax
● Experience of working within an environment where it is necessary to deliver accurate information on a timely basis
● Good communication and inter-personal skills
● Ability to work under pressure and in a deadline environment
● Excellent IT skills and receptive to technology changes
