Senior / Group Tax Manager, 6 month FTC, London

An opportunity for a Senior / Group Tax Manager has been created for a 6 month FTC, working a rapidly growing UK headquartered global financial services business. They appointed a Head of Tax for the first time a year ago and the success of this role has meant a further opportunity has arisen as the Group continues to grow and realises the value of an in-house tax function.

The role has a broad remit across all taxes and working closely with the Head of Tax, you will have oversight of compliance and reporting for the Group. Specific responsibilities include:

* Manage tax compliance processes and oversight, including UK and EU corporate tax filings, VAT, FATCA/CRS, R&D tax reclaims, etc.
* Identify opportunities to automate and enhance processes, workflow and systems and work with Head of Tax and wider group financial control team to implement.
* Prepare tax estimates and disclosures for statutory financial statements for the consolidated group and the UK legal entities and assist with external audit enquiries.
* Review and recommend enhancements to tax governance and tax risk management.

This type of role is unique for a fixed term contract and there could be opportunity to extend beyond this. You will need to be a qualified accountant and/or Tax professional and have experience of working in-house so you have exposure across all taxes.
