Manager Level Tax Controversy and Dispute Resolution Specialist

Our client is well known advisory firm based in the heart of London, dedicated to providing exceptional tax advisory and consulting services to a diverse clientele. With an unwavering commitment to excellence, they pride ourselves on delivering tailored solutions that exceed expectations. Due to an increase in clients and demand for tax investigations support, they are looking to expand their Tax Controversy and Dispute Resolution team and are seeking talented and experienced professionals to join them at the manager level.

Responsibilities: As a Manager Level Tax Controversy Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the tax dispute resolution efforts. Your responsibilities will include:

1 Providing expert advice and guidance to high net worth individuals (HNWIs) and small businesses in resolving tax controversies and disputes.
2 Managing and overseeing the full lifecycle of tax disputes, including conducting research, preparing documentation, and representing clients in negotiations and hearings.
3 Collaborating closely with our legal team, tax consultants, and other specialists to develop comprehensive strategies for resolving complex tax disputes.
4 Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, offering proactive solutions, and ensuring their satisfaction with our services.
5 Keeping abreast of the latest tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide up-to-date and accurate advice to clients.
6 Supporting the professional development of junior team members through mentoring and training initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

1 A qualified tax professional with ACA or CTA qualification or an HMRC Tax Inspectors Qualification.
2 Extensive experience in managing tax controversies and disputes in the UK specifically with HNWIs and small businesses.
3 Strong knowledge of UK tax laws, regulations, and dispute resolution procedures.
4 Proven ability to analyse complex tax issues, develop effective strategies, and deliver successful outcomes for clients.
5 Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
6 Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple engagements simultaneously.
7 Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully managing and mentoring a team.
8 Proficiency in utilizing relevant tax software and research tools.
