Our client is a fast-growing business derived from a joint venture between two household names within the Media industry. My client has a strong foothold within Europe and has launched in over 22 countries. As a result of the

Global expansion they would like to take on their first tax hire. The role covers a host of tax matters including Corporate Tax, VAT, Withholding Tax, Transfer Pricing and wider tax matters. This opportunity is a Greenfield role giving you an opportunity to leave your mark and shape the tax function. The role reports into the Group Financial Controller and offers a highly collaborative environment working alongside finance, accounting, purchasing, legal and billing teams with external support from advisors.

The role

* Collaborating with external advisors to manage the international scope of compliance obligations for Corporate Tax, VAT and employment taxes
* Leading on advisory projects and being a strong business partner to the commercial business and other teams to manage tax risks
* Working closely with advisors and finance to support tax provisioning
* Working on cross-border projects including setting up new entities across new markets and M&A activity
* Support with Transfer Pricing policies and management of documentation
* Provide information on the company's tax position for accurate tax disclosures and financial statements
* Advising on commercial deals and contracts

About you

In order to succeed in this challenging role, it is expected that you will have:

* Strong UK and International Tax knowledge
* 4+ years PQE
* ACA qualified or equivalent
* Experience co-ordinating international tax projects and liaising with external advisors
* Corporate Tax experience with awareness of VAT, Withholding Tax, Transfer Pricing and Employment Taxes
* Strong business partnering experience gained through working in an inhouse environment
* Experience leading on tax projects
* Experience communicating with Stakeholders
* Proven experience working independent or leading on tax matters
