Experienced Tax Senior to replace a member of the team who will not be returning from maternity leave. Salary range £30-45k, dependant on skills and experience.
We are seeking an experienced Private Client Tax Senior to work within a refreshingly modern yet
established and growing 7 partner practice.

The Role
You will take responsibility for the compliance matters for a varied portfolio of around 150 private
clients (including landlords, sole traders and directors), working closely in a small team with other
tax seniors who have similar sized portfolios.
You will assist with processing more complex tax returns and will be given the opportunity to be
involved in tax planning and advisory projects, under the guidance of our Senior Team, to gain
exposure to wider skills in various areas.

Responsibilities
On a day to day basis, your responsibilities will include:-
Building and managing client relationships for clients within your portfolio
Preparation of personal, partnership and trust tax returns using CCH
Collating sole trader and rental accounts in Excel
Collaborating with other teams to obtain tax return information
Reconciling tax liabilities and checking statements of account
Reviewing coding notices
Liaising with clients and dealing with their compliance queries
Dealing with HMRC to resolve issues as and when they arise
Completing capital gains tax computations and 60-day returns
Preparation of P11D and P11D(b) forms
Assisting managers with more complex tax returns and ad-hoc advisory projects
Support and training will be provided to build on these skills.
Qualifications, skills and experience required
ATT qualified or similar. Study support will be considered for the right candidate.
A sound experience of working in practice on a range of private client tax issues is essential.
Good organisational and time management skills, in order to manage the portfolio and prioritise
accordingly.
The role involves a high level of direct contact with clients by email, telephone and face to face and
so you should be confident and articulate; able to build client relationships and explain tax issues in
a clear and non-technical manner, both verbally and in written advice.
Sound work ethic and excellent client service standards.
The ability to work well and contribute effectively within a team, as well as delivering work
independently.
Good working knowledge of CCH would be an advantage.
