Group Tax Manager (FTSE-250, Remote)

A FTSE listed production business and are currently seeking a Group Tax Manager to join the team. This is an exciting time to join the business, as they are going through a big re-organisation meaning there is lots of interesting work and projects to take the lead on.

As a Group Tax Manager, you will report directly into the Head of Tax and play a key role in managing the tax affairs across the group. You will be the point of contact with advisors as all compliance is outsourced. All compliance involvement will be solely in a review capacity, which will allow you to focus on more strategic tax matters for the group.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the group's tax affairs, ensuring compliance with tax legislation and regulations
• Reviewing and overseeing external advisors who handle all compliance work
• Providing tax advice and support to the business on a range of matters including M&A, transfer pricing and VAT
• Supporting the Head of Tax in managing relationships with HMRC and other tax authorities
• Providing support on tax audits and investigations
• Managing tax risks across the business
• Supporting the business in managing tax risks across its international operations

Requirements:

• Big 4 or top tier trained followed by in-house experience within a large multinational
• Experience of managing tax compliance and advisory matters for a multinational group
• Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation and regulations
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage external advisors effectively
• Proven track record of delivering high quality work
