Brilliant opportunity for an individual who has recently passed their ATT or is finalising their ATT.

Your new role

This is a brilliant opportunity for an individual who has recently passed their ATT or is finalising their ATT to take responsibility for a portfolio of high-net-worth clients. It is expected that the candidate will have been in a supporting Tax Assistant role for a minimum of two years.

The main focus of the role will be the preparation of the self-assessment tax returns for these clients together with the broader management of their Tax Affairs. This includes (but is not limited to) residency queries, EIS and VCT investments, share pooling, capital gains tax calculations and general administrative work.

Support will be provided by the Tax Advisers and management to oversee the transition to Tax Adviser should this be the preferred career route. The candidate will also be responsible for the review of Tax assistants work and will offer support and mentoring to Tax Assistants.

The key duties of this position include:

* Overseeing a portfolio of c.100 clients. This will include the preparation of the Self-assessment tax return and ad hoc advisory work as applicable to the client.
* Establishing and building exceptional client relationships to ensure that the highest level of service is provided to the client.
* Establishing and building relationships with your Financial Adviser to offer a holistic service to the clients.
* Preparing tax returns with minimal mistakes
* Review of Tax Assistant work and providing constructive feedback to aid their development.
* Independent research of Tax legislation where appropriate.
* Assisting Tax Advisers with complex clients.
* Continual professional development - role plays, case studies, training
