Key purpose of the role:
Support with the VAT compliance and projects of the business, Motorsports and financial services companies.
Responsibilities:
Prepare UK quarterly VAT returns, payments on account and quarterly payments ensuring adherence to all deadlines; control and reconciliation of all VAT accounts in the General Ledger.
Assist the VAT Manager in providing indirect tax advice to the UK Group companies on operational matters/ projects and support the business by providing up-to-date technical guidance and training.
Keep updated and informed of any changes in indirect tax (VAT) regulations and support in timely communication of relevant changes to all business partners concerned.
Maintain the VAT relationship with HMRC to ensure that all VAT enquiries and disclosures are resolved efficiently and in a timely manner.
Experience:
* Understanding of Automotive sector useful but not essential
* 1-2 years VAT experience preferred
* Open to qualified accountants or VAT specialists looking to forge a career now in VAT.
* Openness to consider VAT exam (ATT and/or CTA)
* Computer literate;
* Eye to detail - methodical;
* People Person - good ability to build relationships across the businesses
* Highly numerate
* Good time management skills;
* Strong attention to detail
