Tax Accountant - 12 months - CT & VAT

Tax Accountant interim tax job in London requires a Tax Accountant for this 12 months interim tax job in London.

Joining an established in-house tax team, the Tax Accountant will support the Corporate Tax Manager and the Indirect Tax Manager evenly with key responsibilities involving:

VAT

* Assist in the preparation of the quarterly UK VAT return.
* Preparation of VAT journals and balance sheet reconciliations quarterly.
* Liaise with external advisers in the preparation of monthly European VAT returns.

Corporate Tax

* Prepare and submit UK corporate tax computations and filing using OneSource.
* Preparation of the tax notes for the statutory accounts.
* Preparation of current and deferred tax calculations.
* SAO support.

To be considered for this role it is not essential to have corporate tax and VAT experience combined as the tax team are happy to support someone in training in either of the tax areas. However, it is essential to have either corporate tax or VAT experience and to have an interest and willingness to learn the other area of tax.

It goes without saying how this role is CV and therefore career enhancing. The 12 months duration allows for working through a full tax cycle; and the fact that there are training and development opportunities across both the corporate and VAT taxes.
