This US multinational company with operations around the world has an opportunity for a Corporate Tax professional to join the team. The regional headquarter office location is in Aberdeen but the role can be done remotely (working from home) from anywhere within the UK.
Reporting to the Africa Middle East Tax Manager who is also based in the UK, the Senior Tax Specialist serves as functional tax support for the Africa and the Middle East (AME) regions. The role is responsible for supporting the AME Tax Manager in providing the necessary tax compliance and provision support (US GAAP reporting) and tax planning support for the region. This position will have a significant focus in the company’s AME operations and tax compliance. It will assist with the overall tax lifecycle (planning, provision, compliance, and controversy). The job functions of this position will encompass approximately 40% tax accounting, 30% tax compliance, and 30% tax research/planning, providing tax support to commercial and operations teams, special projects, and tax controversy.
To be successful in this role you will need corporate tax experience with an emphasis on AME tax matters. An ACCA qualification, Masters in Taxation, or LLM with emphasis on taxation would be preferred.
The role can be based remotely from anywhere in the UK.
