I am currently hiring for a global education organisation who are looking for a tax manager to join their team on a 12-month FTC. There is a strong emphasis on tax compliance and reporting, but there is also much room for involvement in process development, tax planning, and restructuring work.

Job Responsibilities:
Tax Reporting:
* Support as necessary with year end and interim tax reporting, including liaising with Group Auditors, providing analysis as requested and responding to tax audit queries
* Support as necessary with quarterly tax forecast, working closely with Group Finance, FP&A and the regional finance teams
* Review and analysis of tax reporting packs, providing challenge and/or guidance, as appropriate
* Support the Group Tax Manager with ad-hoc requests.
Tax Compliance:
* Support corporate tax compliance for the Group's central and holding entities, mainly UK entities
* Review tax computations and returns where external firm support is obtained
* Liaise with external tax advisors in other central and holding company locations, to ensure tax compliance requirements are satisfied
* Support the Group Tax Manager with ad-hoc requests
Process Development and Transformation:
* Supporting the Group Head of Tax, by leading and implementing a programme of developments to improve IFRS quarterly and year end reporting processes
* Review software options to automate the year end IFRS tax calculation process
* Assist regions in enhancement of quarterly and annual tax reporting processes
* Manage, build, review, and maintain tax reporting excel models and processes
* Review and improve group WHT processes
* Ensure appropriate policies and procedure documents are in place to clearly define roles and responsibilities
Tax Planning, Efficiencies and Support:
* Support with tax planning and restructuring for the central and holding company locations
* Support ad hoc tax queries from Group functions and regional finance teams.
