Our client is a leading silver circle law firm and very highly regarded as one of the best private client advisory law firms in the UK and internationally. It has been named Law Firm of the Year at the British Legal Awards on more than one occasion and has won awards for excellence around the globe.

The London based private client group provides advice to a wide range of clients including wealth individuals, trustees and to other institutions and firms, for themselves or their private clients. The trust and tax compliance team that is recruiting includes managers and associates and has wider partner support from across the private client group.

The team manages the private client compliance for a large group of clients, many of which are non-dom, as well as wealth planning and tax advisory work. Specific project work on for example, non-resident landlord schemes, non-resident CGT, HMRC enquiry work and worldwide disclosure reporting also frequently arises within the portfolio.

The team is looking for a private client and trusts specialist to take on a mixed portfolio of trust, personal tax and more general project work including IHT reporting, non-resident CGT, residence test and remittance issues as well as other ad-hoc projects.

To apply, you must have:

Experience of managing a personal tax compliance team and the annual trust accounts completion and tax return compliance cycle (for UK and non-UK domiciliaries)

Experience of advising trustees on financial, tax and trust law position of trusts

Experience of acting as first point of contact for trustees, beneficiaries and intermediaries

A mainstream accounting background and be a qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA) who has also worked in a trust environment.

Training in personal tax and trusts and have a thorough knowledge and understanding of trust accounting. Ideally CTA or STEP qualified.

Solid non-dom personal tax compliance experience
