This role of Indirect Tax Manager is an excellent opportunity for a candidate seeking to develop their career in tax within a fast-paced business with a strong international focus. The successful candidate will support the team with all aspects of tax with a particular focus on global indirect tax compliance and data analysis.
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Relevant UK indirect tax experience either in-house and/or in practice. Preferably with experience of overseas indirect taxes.
* Accounting (ACA or equivalent) and/or Tax (CTA or ATT) qualified
* Keen to adopt new practices and technologies with strong excel skills
* An inquisitive mind and proactive nature
* Organised, methodical and thorough
* Self-starter who can work well in a team and independently
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage global indirect tax compliance including UK, Europe and US
* Manipulate and analyse sales and tax data in Excel
* Work on the continued improvement of existing processes to maintain strong tax governance
* Budgeting the tax position of the company
* Perform monthly tax account reconciliations
* Manage projects relating to both UK and international tax
* Support the compliance team with technical queries on import taxes and duties
* Work with external advisors as required
* Review work performed by the Tax Analyst
* Other ad hoc work as required including assistance with corporate tax filings
