This award-winning firm is looking to add to its corporate tax team to continue delivering an exceptional service to its clients. With new work constantly coming in, the team has continued to grow and strengthen its position in the West Midlands marketplace.
As an Assistant Manager, you will manage a small portfolio of clients for whom you will be responsible for project delivery and management of more junior staff. As well as reviewing the work of less experienced team members, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to their training and counselling process.
The work is varied and interesting and you will be able to put your CTA studies to great practical use. You will look after the day-to-day compliance of your clients, and get involved with all related advisory issues, in conjunction with more experienced members of the management team. There will be lots of client contact, as well as liaison with HMRC and third parties as appropriate, allowing you to develop strong relationships and build your network. You will also work on RfPs which will further develop your document writing and presentation skills.
Your increasing client contact will enhance your ability to highlight areas of potential risk to the client and /or firm, as well as potential areas where new work can be introduced. You will also have responsibility for management of budgets, WIP and billing. The role will suit a collaborative team player who is at the same time comfortable working off their own initiative.
It is anticipated that you will be a recently qualified CTA and / or ACA UK corporate tax professional. You may or may not have had much exposure to advisory work to date, but this is not essential and there will be every opportunity to train and develop in this area.
